A Media Professional with over 22+ years and who has handled every possible category in the industry, Alvin started his career at David Pieris Motor Company in the Imports Division handling Import related documentation. Thereafter gained experience in multiple disciplines at Harris Ceylon Ltd (Exports/Production) & Alpha Industries (Sales & Marketing). He started his career in advertising during the year 1997 at Thompson Associates as a Media Buyer. After serving for 4 years at TAL, he then moved on to J. Walter Thompson to further his career in media planning & buying. He served as Business Director at Mindshare and then was given the challenge to form & head Maxus in 2009. Maxus won Sri Lanka’s number 1 conglomerate, John Keells Holdings Media AOR & Dialog Axiata AOR under his leadership. Alvin served at JWT/Mindshare/Maxus/Mediacom for 17 years. He now is the CEO/Director of Mideation Integrated (Pvt) Ltd, which was formed in December 2018. Part time proof reader. Part time calligrapher.
